Summer is here

Keeping busy as always, I have time to blog today since I took the day off for Luke's preschool graduation. Yes, he will be in Kindergarten next year, riding the bus, full day kindergarten. Sad for mommy, exciting for Lucas.
Luke will miss all
of his little friends, especially his buddy Noah.
He will start talking about Noah and I have to ask
which Noah he is talking about every time.
UGH.... mom, my friend Noah from school.

Our summer started off interesting with a trip to the ER for Noah. He was jumping off the stairs at my parents house and fractured 3 bones in his left foot. He got to wear a boot for 6 weeks which was a pain, but we made it thru it. They didn't put a cast on because of his eczema, it would have irritated his skin too much.

Temporary cast
from the ER.

We have already been out swimming in this summer weather. We are very lucky to have the Fugate's up the street, so we visit them and swim often. Hopefully this is the year for no swimmies or life jacket for Lucas. We are going to work on independent swimming this year.

Hope everyone has an awesome summer!

Noah's 2nd Birthday

We had a great couple days celebrating Noah's 2nd birthday. Yesterday for his birthday we went to Monkey Joe's. Both of the boys ran around for hours in all the bounce house's. Noah had no problem getting around, I thought he would have some trouble with some of the bigger one's, but I was mistaken. He sure is a monkey.

Today we had a great birthday party. Noah had a great time opening presents, he would open one and then right off to the next one. Hardly glancing at what he had just opened. Some of them still had wrapping paper on them before moving on. He sure does love all of his new toys, as does Lucas. Thanks to everyone that joined us to celebrate Noah's 2nd birthday. I can't believe it has been 2 years already. Time has flown by, I wish it would slow down a little bit, I miss having my babies. They are both growing up so quick.

Buzz Lightyear is Noah's favorite toy right now. I think he got everything out there Buzz for his birthday. From bedsheets, to sleeping bags, to a huge Buzz robot. He is in heaven.

Long time no talk

So yes again I have been a terrible blogger. I am more of a Facebooker now, but I am going to try yet again to keep up on here. Lots of stuff going on, we went through a horrible month of moving and trying to get paperwork taken care of. I can say that I do not see us moving for a very long time again if ever. It was a terrible experience. But we love our new home and are still in the process of getting everything unpacked after a month. I have a lot of painting to do, but this past month with holidays has been busy and has not allowed any time for it.

Christmas was exciting as always, it is a great feeling to see your babies come downstairs and their faces light up when they see all their gifts. I think everyone got everything they wanted. We still haven't played with all of the gifts that Santa , family and friends got us.

Lucas is officially 5 now. Makes me a little sad that my baby is getting so big, starting Kindergarten this coming year and tells me all the time that he is growing. I know it has to happen, but it is going too fast. He got to spend the day with Nolan, Ruth and Grace for his birthday. Jake and Rachel took them to see Alvin and the Chipmunks the Squeakquel and then to Monkey Joes for some bounce house fun. I stayed home with Noah since he wasn't feeling too good and didn't want him to get sick for Christmas. It was nice for us to have some time together alone since that doesn't happen too often.

Noah is growing like a weed and will be 2 in February. He is finally starting to talk a little. In addition to mom and dad he is now saying Moo when you ask what a cow says, Snowball, Buzz (toy story) and a few others. Not too much but it is a start, we are understanding him a lot more now. He is in a big boy bed now since he learned to climb out of the crib and just started in it last night. It was a rough time getting to bed, but he slept there all night. He also started on the potty this weekend and is doing great already. A few accidents but other than that he knows when to
go to his potty. No more diapers here we come!!

Another year has come and gone and we look forward to 2010. Hope everyone had a great Christmas and good fortune in the upcoming year.

I'm Back!

It's been a while since I have had time to blog. Sad, I know. I am busy with work and now getting our house ready to put on the market. We are keeping busy as always, never a dull moment with the Bailey fam.

Jake and I went with my sister Rachel, her friend Rachel, my brother Adam and his wife Missy to Punta Cana in the Dominican for a week.
It was nice to just lay around the pool and chill for a week with nothing to do. We had a blast, but was happy to get home to my babies. I will not be taking a vacation for that long without my babies. We are thinking about Disney for next year since Lucas and my nephew Nolan want to see the ocean.
Lucas and Noah have been swimming this summer at the Fugate's as often as possible and are both little fish in the water. Lucas is jumping in and going under water with no problem this year. Noah is also going under and puts his face in himself. We are trying to work on getting him to blow bubbles. He loves to be thrown up in the air and go under. It is so funny, he gets the biggest smile on his face and he doesn't want to stop. I usually have to stop because my arms start hurting so bad. Good times, it's been a great summer so far. Just going by way to quick.

Happy Easter

Hope everyone had a great Easter. We had a good day hunting eggs from the bunny here at the house and then we all headed to my parents for dinner and an egg hunt there also. Noah would get his 2 eggs and he would be done. One for each hand. Lucas loved this so he had the rest for himself.
It was a pretty laid back day for us.
We all laid around watching movies while the boys played. Noah was a bit cranky all day, I think he is getting teeth. Either that or he was mad at us for leaving him for a few days. But I think I felt some molars coming in. Poor baby.

Moolah Circus

Rachel, Nolan, Lucas and I all went to the Moolah circus this evening. It has been years since I went to the circus. It was a good time for us all. A little long for the boys but the last act was the motorcycles in the cage so there was no leaving early.

This is as close as I will ever get to a snake and this was still too close for me. Lucas would not touch it, but I think that was my doing since he saw how frightened I was. I even tried to be really brave and thought about going to touch it so Lucas would not be afraid, but I just could not get myself to do it. But at least I thought about it right?

Lucas got his face painted as Spider-Man and Nolan was a clown. The boys I think had a great night, they are extremely tired now. The fun adventures we get to experience with out kids, I love every minute of it.

Flashback Friday

Jake and I just celebrated our 5 year anniversary last Friday. Times sures does fly. Here is the picture that was taken when Jake proposed to me in front of the Belagio Hotel in Las Vegas. It was amazing. When he proposed the fountains were going off and it was playing Luck be a Lady in the backround.

We are going to Vegas in 12 days, April 7th with our good friends Jill and Jr who were also there with us when we got engaged. We are all renewing our vows in Vegas on this trip. Jake and I for our 5 years and Jr and Jill for the 25 years later this year.
