Easter

Here are a few pictures from over the weekend coloring Easter eggs with Ruth (green shirt) and Grace. Such fun involved with holidays when your kids can enjoy them. Each year keeps getting better and better.

Luke's Bunny Teeth

And thank you to all that came out to celebrate my birthday with me. On Saturday Jake threw me a surprise party for my 30th. That was a great birthday present. I loved hanging out with everyone for the evening.

1 Month

We visited the doctor yesterday for Noah's one month check. He is now 11lbs and 21 1/2 inches. His weight puts him in the 75th percentile . He is getting up to where Lucas always was, in the 90th percentile. He only had to get one shot on this visit, but next month is 4. That is the day we will be packing the Tylenol.
The last few days Noah has been awake a lot more during the day checking things out. I notice him looking for us when he hears our voice now also. With him being awake more during the day now, he is getting more sleep at night. I am getting between 3 and 4 hours now. I think he has figured out his days and nights finally, for a while there I believe we were backwards.
We are all stuck here in the house since it has been raining all week. My backyard looks like a river is running through it. Hopefully the rain will be stopping soon since it all of the river's are getting too high. There has been a lot of flooding going on and they are worried about a few of the levee's breaking with today's rain. Does everyone remember the flood of '93? Let's hope it all stops before we get to that point. I did notice that a few schools south of here are off today because of all of this rain. I would like to see the sun and get these boy's outside, Lucas needs to run off some energy. He keeps asking if he can go out and play in the rain puddles. If it stops later today I may send him out to do that. I remember how much fun that use to be.

Farewell to my 20's

Well it has happened. I turned the big 3-0 on Wednesday. I think I handled it well enough. I don't know why it bother's me so much to turn 30, everyone says their 30's are so much better than their 20's, I just don't want to find that out just yet. Oh well, what can you do. Move forward to more adventures. The next day I was not doing too much, just recouping from the night before.
On Friday Jake had the day off so we took Lucas to see Horton hears a Who. Very cute movie. Lucas is finally getting to the age that he will sit through the whole movie. After the movie we came back home and walked around the neighborhood for a while. I will be happy when everyday is nice out to be outside, not just a day here or there when you have to make sure you get out since you don't know when the next nice day will come. Unfortunately, I did not have my camera on me this day. Lucas saw his friend Roman, and they have not seen each other for weeks now, and when they met up they hugged. It was too cute.
Saturday I had Kim and Susan to watch a movie. We ordered pizza and watched Dan in Real Life. It was not as good as I had expected, just and ok movie. Glad I waited for it to come out on video.
Yesterday we went shopping for a dresser for Lucas to match his bed that his dad and grandad made him. Then we went to Kim and Jeff's to visit. We went out to look at the huge hole in their backyard where their pool will be in less than 6 weeks. I will be moving in with them for the summer. :o)

Butterfly House

Today was a busy day for Lucas and I. I have been trying lately to get some time just Lucas and I for some mommy time, but we have not had a chance with daddy working so much these last few weeks. So I gave Lucas some options of what we could do today since it was going to be a nice day and he chose the Butterfly House. This was the first time Lucas had been there and he loved it. He wasn't too sure in the beginning with them all flying close to him, but he was fine as soon as one landed on me. Then he thought it was funny because as soon as I would get it off my shirt and onto a leaf, it came back and landed on me again. Noah loved it too, can't you tell?

After we left we had to go to the park since it was in the 60's today. I love taking him to the park but I sure do not know how I am going to be able to watch 2 kids at the park when Noah is able to start playing on these too. I get a knot in my stomach when Lucas is running around and I lose sight of him for just a second, how do you watch two? Guess I will learn as I go just as I have done for the last 3 years. Anyway, there is this huge playground there and what does he run to first???

A rock!!!! This is what you have to look forward to, those of you with baby boy's. :o)
When we got home we met Susan, Sean and Sarge for a walk around the neighborhood.

Last but not least I just have a cute picture to share of the boys. Then it is off to bed for another fun filled day since it is suppose to be even nicer out tomorrow.

Last few days

It is nice and quiet here, all the boys are sleeping and I get a moment's peace to myself. So what is the first thing I do? Get on the computer of course and check and see what everyone has been up to. Either checking blogs or myspace.

Lucas went and stayed a couple days out at my parents this week so he could play with Nolan, his cousin. So one of the nights that he was gone, Jake and I got to watch a movie together and it wasn't a Disney movie. We were both very surprised at how quiet the house is without Lucas.

Thursday I met my friends Kim and Wendy at Lone Star for lunch. They have to keep me in the know of everything that is going on at work while I am gone. Ah, the interesting folks that keep our job so entertaining. Never a dull moment.

Saturday we had dinner at Kitaro's Japanese restaraunt. We met Sam and Susan and a group of friends for an evening out before Sam left. If you have never been to Kitaro's you owe it to yourself to try it at least once. It is great food and loads of fun.

Getting started

So here it is, the Bailey blog. I will try and keep up with it as much as possible, but if I know me I will be addicted as soon as I figure out how to use everything with it.

Today Noah is 3 weeks old and growing. He went to the doctor last Friday and he is 8lbs 11oz, up from 7lbs 14oz when he was born. We are all doing well here, I am home until April with the boys and then back to work. It is a little trying at times with Lucas since he is being quite defiant, but we knew that would be an issue. He is just use to having all the attention. We are just trying to make time for just him without the baby. He has been trying to be a little helper though, he just is a little too rough sometimes. We are working on that. He did help give Noah a bath last night and did a great job. All will be well and before we know Noah will be running around with Lucas. Time flies when it involves your kids, don't blink or you will miss a lot.
Here are pictures of the boy's when they were both about 3 weeks old.
