Memorial Day weekend

We spent a couple days with Jeff, Kim and the girls just hanging out over the weekend. We had a small birthday party for Jake since his birthday was on Monday the 19th. The boys and I got him tickets to Dave Matthews at Busch stadium. He and Jeff will be going to the concert on the 7th, I think.

Although Sunday started out rainy and nasty we still got to get wet later in the day. At one point all had a water gun fight which was loads of fun. When we finally got to get in the pool it was so cold that it took your breath away. You got use to it, but the first few minutes were rough.

Here Kim is helping Lucas learn to kick his feet with a swim board. We need to get some swimming lessons for him. I have been talking about that for a while now and have never gotten around to setting it up. Put it on the TO DO list for this week.

All week we have been working with Noah to get his head to turn more to the left. I think it is helping out a lot. I took a few pictures to show the physical therapist on Thursday in case he will not do it for her. Lucas will even talk to him on his left side when we tell him to since Noah loves hearing Lucas talk to him. He follows Lucas around with his eyes already. Brotherly love :o)

Kite Flying

Jake and I took Lucas kite flying Sunday for a while for the first time and he loved it. It was so easy to get the kite going since it was such a windy day. I remember when I was younger running with the kite just to get it to lift up. All we had to do is hold it in the air and the wind took it up. It was actually quite fun for all of us for a family outing.

Today I had to take Noah to meet with a physical therapist for his neck. I had noticed for a while that his head is usually turned to the right side and I have tried to get him to look more to the left but have not succeeded. He has what they call tortic0llis and we are going to see the physical therapist once a week for the next month. She gave us exercises we have to do with him at home to loosen his neck up so he will turn to the left without the pain. We only worked with him for maybe 20 minutes and she wore him out. I just hope the next month goes well and we will be done, but she also said we have to watch him at his growth spurts since it can come back. On top of that I think he has excema, I have to call for an appointment for that also. Could be worse.

He is such a happy baby though, always smiling and "talking"

Arkansas

We all had a fun filled weekend visiting our family in Arkansas. We drove down to attend Allie and Kallie's highschool graduation. We all had such a good time visiting with everyone since we only get to see them about once a year.

Allie with Noah, Kallie with Noah(she didn't want her picture taken) and Haley with Lucas.

Lucas had such a good time hanging out with all of his cousin's. Haley was his buddy for the weekend. Everyone came home with something having to do with the Razorback's. Lucas got a huge Razorback puppet from his cousin Andrew. Thanks Andrew! This thing is bigger than Luke!
This is just a fun picture of Lucas and me on the neighbor's hammock. We only fell out a few times before we got the hang of it. My little boy is getting too big. He is almost 3 1/2. Noah will be 3 months old tomorrow. Time sure does fly when you're having fun.
