Luke's 4th Birthday

My baby will be 4 on Tuesday. These 4 years have flown as I have said before. We had his birthday party last Sunday and everyone had a blast. We went to Bounce U and I don't know who had more fun, the kids or the adults.
Noah even got in on the fun and rode down the slide. He LOVED it. We couldn't get a picture since apparently my camera doesn't like taking action shots. Even though there is a setting for it, but whatever. It was a sight to see, and then he just wanted to keep sliding.
Birthday boy had an awesome time, as soon as we left he was asking when we were going back. He doesn't know it yet, but we are taking him back on his birthday to play for a while. Our little man got to be king for a day and I think he enjoyed every second of it.

Who needs snow when you can have ice? We got a lot of ice this week, but who knew it could be so much fun. When I got home from work Monday afternoon, I got out the sleds and took Lucas and Nolan ice sledding down the driveway. I don't know why I have never thought to get out the sleds for ice, we went all the way down the driveway, across the street into the neighbors yard. I think Noah would have loved it too, but it was way too cold for the baby to be out.
I am hoping to get back on here before the holidays, but it is crazy busy around here now. I am finishing up some shopping today and also need to do cookies and clean the house before christmas. Hope everyone has a Very Merry Christmas.

Tis the season ....

I don't know about anyone else, but I feel like Christmas is creeping up to quick. Where has this year gone? Noah is 10 months old as of yesterday and Lucas will be 4 on the 23rd. Time flies when you're having fun. Jake has gotten a lot of the Christmas shopping done for me this week and we should be finished tomorrow, hopefully. All that will be left are a few things for the boys, which Jake and my sister go out and get Christmas eve. That is their tradition to go out the day before and get their shopping done. Nothing like waiting until the last minute.

Thursday night we went to my nephew Nolan's Christmas pageant at school. (He is in the middle with the white sweater and blue stripes) Quite the little angel. They sang about a dozen Christmas songs and then got to see Santa and eat cookies.
Cutting this short since little one is getting up now.

Sickness be gone

It feels like the sickness in this house will not leave. First it was Lucas with his flu bug, we are still getting over that. He just needs to loose the cough. Then Noah ran a fever for 6 days and started in on the coughing and runny nose. I got Noah to the doctor yesterday and he has a mild ear infection in the right ear and he is on breathing treatments with a nebulizer every 4 hours. This is to help with his wheezing from all the congestion he has that has moved into his chest. Poor baby, but I have to say he has been a trooper. He is feeling a lot better today since the medicines are beginning to work. The wheezing is not as noticable today. His ear is still bothering him a bit, I can tell when he is drinking his bottle. And I think the poor boy is teething again. I don't see any signs of any yet, but he is chewing on his thumbs all the time.
Lucas has been a little jealous for the last week with Noah getting most of the attention. So today I took him out and we got his birthday invitations and wrote them out for all of his friends. He wrote the names on the cards to hand out which was very cute. He had all the right letters, just not writing them from left to right yet. Just put them where they will fit. Funny how far they come in just a year. He is writing all of his letters now and knows upper and most lower case by sight. I can't believe it is going to be 4 years in a few weeks. Cherish every day you have with your kids is all I can say, it goes by way to quick.

Tree Decorating

After a day of Thanksgiving feasts Lucas came up with the idea of getting the tree out and getting it decorated. It was great fun having Lucas and Nolan decorate the tree. Most of the ornaments are at the bottom, but they had such fun decorating. Hopefully the weather will be nicer this weekend and we will get our outdoor lights up too.

Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving. We did despite everyone being sick. But I think we are all almost done with that. Looking forward to a great month of fun and festivities and Noah's first Christmas. I am excited for his first experience with tearing apart the wrapping paper. Nothing better than ripping apart paper and then playing in the box.
