Sunny Days

Yesterday was BEAUTIFUL outside. Windows open and loving the weather. I couldn't get them out for a walk though, the day before we did and I think it was too much on my knee. So we stayed in and played. Susan was nice enough to take Lucas to and from school since I can't drive yet so Sean came over and played for most of the afternoon.
Once Jake got home the boys got to go outside and play on the jungle gym. Noah absolutely loves the slide. He is going to be my little stunt man, this boy has no fear. It is a little scary. Here Lucas is trying the monkey bars with dad. We are also working on getting Lucas to pump his legs to swing by himself. Jake tried to show him how to pump his legs, but just as Lucas is all the time, he got very frustrated and did not want to continue. For some reason he thinks he should know how to do things on the first time every time. Today is suppose to be nice again except there will be rain. We are so ready for spring.
  • I had my knee surgery last Thursday and all is going well. I was up and walking on Friday, slowly but surely. I didn't believe the doctor when he said some are up walking without crutches. I sure did not think that would be me. But each day gets easier than the day before. I get to go to the doctor today for my checkup. I have not taken the bandage off since I got home because they do that in the office. So I will be seeing the damage for the first time today. I am hoping to start physical therapy as soon as possible. The doctor said he likes patient's to use a stationary bike for PT so that means I will be able to make it back to the gym soon, which I am so excited about. I am hoping I won't have to wear the brace anymore that they gave me in the hospital. It goes from my hip to my ankle and is very uncomfortable. I am walking a little throughout the day without it so I think I would be fine, but we will see.
